A Dining Room Finale Sneak Peak

This is as much of a sneak peak as I even get at this point, but I’m so excited and wanted to share.

Our dining room once looked something like this:

But then we moved in and put our touch on the space.

That meant our kick-ass live-edge dining room table with the vintage Herman Miller shell chairs, the rad overdyed eBay rug, the IKEA curtains, the vintage brass Chiavari chairs, and the DIY bird artwork with an heirloom clock.

The final item to check off the to-do list is to replace the pretty, but wrong for the space light fixture with something more modern.  I kept going back to this advert that Four Hands sent us in the main in the fall.  It was supposed to make me want to buy a new dining table and chairs, but I couldn’t get over the lights.

So I finally made it into the store to check them out.  They come in 2 styles and 2 sizes in each style.

I also loved the tear-drop style, but there was just something about the round ones hung in a pair.

I was distracted by this beautifully displayed bed & linens.

And these incredible mid-century modern-inspired dining chairs.  I’ve since begged my brother to get them because they are perfect for his home.

But after months of pining for them, and finally getting to meet them, it really was true love.

Here’s a look at some of the details.  I love the glass and metal mixed together.  It’s a great, modern-but-classic look –– exactly what we are going for with our new home.

They thought of everything,  They even have beautifully detailed chain.

Only one problem:  I waited so long that they are now out of stock and I have to wait to take them home.  But, I will be taking them home and having them installed soon, and it will be around our first house-iversary.

In the meantime, my attention is on other areas of the house, organization, and some little craft projects that keep me distracted along the way.  I can’t wait to finally bring these babies home.

Love thee glass & metal hanging lamps with their classical modern look. Do you have a reference to the manufacturer or where to buy them? They would like perfect in my home.
