The good news is, the few pieces of silver that I have are SUPER shiny. The bad news is, I accidentally made a bit of pipe bomb in the kitchen based on a Pinterest pin. Let this be a bit of a warning. I recommend NOT using the boiling water, baking soda, and aluminum foil method to polish your silver. The reaction of boiling water + baking soda, as both my husband and father pointed out immediately, creates a pretty violent reaction. Let’s ignore how they have knowledge of this, and just never do that again. I now have a very intimate relationship with my cooktop which needed to be tried out and have a switch replaced after the incident. Now I know how to take apart and fix a cooktop when I should be doing other things (like having a glass of wine, right?).
