What a difference painting a piece of furniture can make

We’ve never had a formal living room so we don’t have furniture for our new one, which is a good problem.

We plan to put a few places to sit, but to mostly leave it as an open place for the girls to play.

Starting with what we had, I placed this piece that I had picked up from a client who was moving last year. I absolutely loved it and everyone thought I was crazy. I always look at a piece and see its potential, not its current condition. Jason thinks this is a curse, not a virtue. He had to bear with me and wait nearly a year to see what I had always seen.

I also painted the hardware using Rust-Oleum metallic spray paint with a finish coat of Rust-Oleum Clear Gloss.
