Oh! the Places You’ll Go! Book of Memories

It’s one of my favorite new traditions: sneaking in our Oh, the Places You’ll Go books into the school for this year’s batch of teachers to sign dewey-eyed messages to the 18-year-old versions of my much younger kids.

This is the kind of project I can manage at the end of the school year since it’s literally something I drop off for teachers to complete.  Our teachers have always been happy to do it, even telling me how it effected them to think both back on the year that just flew by and the idea of this year’s students graduating high school some day (and sooner than we think).  I won’t lie, it’s tough to keep this project under wraps, but it’s worth it when I think about my kids looking through their books years ahead as they prepare fledge the nest.  I love giving them something that can never be replaced and that they can take with them everywhere.  Maybe they will even pass it down to their kids some day.

Since I do sneak this into the school, I’ve included a note about the project along with a request to sign a message.  You can download it here:

I’d love to see your messages from teachers!  Feel free to add a photo comment below or send in a photo!
