Send your child’s birth announcement to The White House and get a congratulatory letter from the President! I found out about this after Cora was born and sent her announcement. We received this amazing keepsake a couple of months later. I also send Chloe’s in, but it must have been too over-due because she didn’t get one.
We framed ours in an inexpensive frame and a scrapbook paper background. What a beautiful keepsake!
Send your birth announcement to:
White House
1600 Pennsylvania Avenue
Washington, D.C. 20500
You can also fax it to 202-456-2461.
They also send congratulations for 50th, 60th, 70th, and higher anniversaries and a few other events like weddings, retirements after 30+ years at the same job, Eagle Scout Awards, Girl Scout Gold Awards, and some religious occasions.

[…] I am a Pinterest addict. One of the things that I found on that site was a pin that gave the idea to send a birth announcement to the White House. The original site the pin led to was: http://remodelicious.com/send-your-childs-birth-announcement-to-the-white-house/ […]
